Not sure which service fits? This brief conversation is required before any other session is booked. It's a chance to talk about what's being navigated and find the right service for it.
Duration: 20 minutes
Location: Zoom video call
Pricing: $20, credited toward the first paid session

Grief lives in the body. This service brings art making into the work: creating with collage, paint, clay, or other materials while we sit with what you're carrying. The art isn't about making something beautiful or finished. It's about letting your hands and body speak what words can't. All materials provided, no artistic skill needed.
Duration: 2 hours
Pricing: $140/session

Ritual marks thresholds. This service is creating and holding ceremony for your loss: something to mark a death, an anniversary, a moment when grief needs to be witnessed and held. I work with you to design what feels true and necessary.
Duration: 60 minutes per session (custom rituals may require consultation)
Location: In-person (Boulder/Longmont area) or video for planning
Pricing: $80/60 minutes + 1 Planning Session (Additional Planning Sessions $40/hr)

Grief is lifelong. This service is companionship for wherever you are in your loss: early grief, grief years later, grief that never got space to exist. I listen, ask real questions, and help you find what you need to stay in relationship with what you've lost.
Duration: 60 minutes
Pricing: $80/ 60 minutes

As death approaches, this service offers presence and support: helping with decisions, preparing spiritually or emotionally, creating space for what needs to be said. I sit with you and your loved one through this threshold.
Duration: 60 minutes
Pricing: $125/hr. for one session or $500 for 5 sessions.
One reschedule is allowed per booking, with no fee. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed altogether, are charged the full session fee. The Consultation Call may be rescheduled or canceled at any time with no fee, though the $20 fee is non-refundable if canceled. Holding this boundary respects the time set aside for the work.

Rev. JeKaren Bell, Grief Doula and Ritualist
Rev. JeKaren Bell is a death and grief doula, ordained minister, and artist working at the threshold between what has ended and what continues. The Grief Altar holds space for anyone carrying loss, whether that loss arrived last week or has lived in the body for decades. This work treats grief as ancestral, ongoing, and justice-rooted, not a problem to be solved or a stage to move past.
JeKaren's approach draws on Black Southern deathways and years of ministry alongside the dying and the grieving. Every session and ritual offered here comes from that same well: the belief that grief deserves full attention, and that the dead remain present enough to be spoken to.
